DFJ consists of Don Semco, aka "Donaldo"; Fred Wheeler, from StrangeCloud and Qui Custodientes Custodient; and Jimmy Stewart, aka "Jimmy Slots", "Jiminator." Each is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, performing with bands and as solo artists. With DFJ, Don focuses on drums and bass; Fred on keyboards and acoustic guitar; Jimmy on electric guitar and lead vocals. All 3 have a part in composing the music for each of the songs, with Jimmy writing the lyrics..

DFJ began in 2000 while Jimmy was working with Fred on a QCC project, and Don was working with Fred on some MCR Records ideas. Don provided Fred with a recording of drums and bass, to which Fred added several keyboards and acoustic guitars. Fred passed it on to Jimmy, who wrote lyrics, added several electric guitars and sang the lead. The result was "When." The song was put up on the net and received glowing reviews. A R&B artist from Washington, D.C. by the name of Changamire, liked the song so much she asked to use it on her upcoming CD, just removing Jimmy's vocal track and adding her own. Changa's version appears on her 2001 CD Only Human.

A year or so later DFJ again came out with a collaborative effort called "It Don't Include You," a blues based tune, quite different from the psychedelic groove of "When."

In 2005 the trio began recording together again, and finished off 3 new tunes, including "Everything's Bigger in Dallas," "What's Wrong With The People Today" and "Answer Me This."

In January, 2006 the song "My Favorite Color, Corduroy" was released.  More songs are being completed in preparation for a CD release, hopefully sometime in 2006.
